Mass Communication Students’ Week Culminates in Unforgettable Dinner Night Celebration

        On the 8th of February 2025, the Augustine University Ilara-Epe Mass Communication Students Association (MCSA) held its long-awaited dinner night themed – “HOUSE OF CARDS” with the colours of the night being red, white and black.

The event, which was hosted by Eseose Eigbiremolen, a final-year student, and David Taiwo, a third-year student, began at past five in the evening with an opening prayer followed by interactive games such as a scavenger hunt, trivia contest and others. There were also performances from two students, Victoria Kika Amolo, a first-year student and Peter Hembaor, a third-year student.

            In between these games, awards were given to the awardees who had been nominated and voted for by members of the department and then voted for in the different categories. Some of the awards presented and the recipients are as follows: Fresher of the Year: Vanessa  Onuajah (100 level); Content Creator of the Year: Daniel-Peter (Lambert) (300 level); Lecturer of the Year: Mr. Osamagbe Lesley Egharevba; Most Social: Chidijem Osuchukwu (400 level); Best dressed: Michelle Goe (200 level); Most active level: 300 level, and Student of the year; Osadebamen Anene (400 level).

           The event ended just before 8 p.m. with a dance session that the students enjoyed. “The event was a great success and a lot of students who paid agreed” ~ Chukwuadikamma Ugo-Ogoke, assistant welfare, MCSA.
