Significant Milestone As Augustine University Matriculates 294 Students

The harsh harmattan breeze did not stop Augustine University as she celebrated her 9th Matriculation Ceremony of 294 students.

The event which held on the 8th of February, 2024 was characterized by excitement and happiness as parents and well-wishers poured into the school campus to witness the matriculation ceremony of their wards.

Consequently, during the ceremony, the Guest Lecturer, Professor Akinwale Alaba Anthony (Rev. Fr) admonished the matriculants and encouraged them to imbibe the life of the Patron Saint of the University, Saint Augustine of Hippo. He further encouraged them to live exemplary lifestyles worthy of imitation and adoption.

However, after the matriculation oath, the ceremony took a turn to recognize recipients of the award of academic excellence; Dean’s Honour list and Vice-Chancellor’s Honour list. An award to praise and encourage students who have made 4.0-4.49 (Dean’s Honour list) and 4.5-5.0 (Vice-Chancellor’s Honour list) Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

Subsequently, in a jubilant declaration, Mrs Margaret Aziba, the Registrar of the University, expressed her delight, proudly announcing that the current matriculating students mark the highest number ever recorded in the school’s history. After the benediction, Parents and their wards proceeded to the cafeteria for enjoyment galore.
