Augustine University, Ilara-Epe Commences Provision Of Laundry Services

Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, on Monday, 19th of June, 2023 commenced the provision of dry
cleaning services to Staff and Student of Augustine University.

The laundry service is managed by Mr. Silas Timothy who addresses himself as an “expert
Laundromat”. According to him, he owns a company with his brother where they are both rendering
dry cleaning services at different branches in Nigeria asides Augustine University.

According to Timothy, the go-ahead for their laundry Mart was granted late in the semester.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the business experienced a rough start which according to him
“is always kind of tough because you are trying to get used to the system”. He also mentioned he
had to reduce the initial price from three thousand Naira to two thousand Naira to dry clean
twelve pieces of laundry and attract his target audience, the students. In this, the staff is no
exception as they are as well offered laundry services of twelve pieces for three thousand five
hundred Naira.

Mr. Timothy added that he has the initial plans to move from the small space allocated to him to a
bigger space for better accommodation of equipment and develop his business into a massive
venture. He said “laundry is something he doesn’t get tired of” and mentions he plans to be with
the school for about four years or longer
